John Orbell, also known as Johno the Plumber, spent two amazing years in Rarotonga, dreaming of making it his forever home. But life took a delightful turn when I met my wife, Mel. After a few unforgettable vacations in the Coromandel Peninsula, we knew this was the place for us.

“The whole area is awesome, the beaches... the lifestyle – it’s all you could ever want,” I always say.

Mel agreed, and thirteen years ago, we made a plan for the life we wanted. Just three months short of our planned move, we left our home north of Auckland and settled here.

“We've just decided we want to live the good life early. We’d like to enjoy that lifestyle now,” we both agreed.

Now, after thirteen wonderful years, we’re still loving every moment in this beautiful region, enjoying the relaxed lifestyle and stunning scenery that the Coromandel Peninsula has to offer.
